Sale of products that are not in demand

Buyer demand is volatile, and very often when products are released to the market for new products, products with less attractive characteristics are no longer in demand. Therefore, leftovers of unrealized goods accumulate in warehouses, which take up space and create an additional item of expenditure. The only possible way to get rid of such residues is the sale, when the goods are sold at a reduced price.

When sales of leftovers of products that are not in demand, the minimum possible mark-up is set on the goods, with the help of which all overhead costs associated with the delivery and storage of products are extinguished. With this approach, the actual profit of the enterprise is minimal, but the sale allows to avoid unreasonable costs, which, with a low demand for goods, can be defined as a loss. It is quite difficult in this case to set an adequate mark-up that will take into account all the expenses for the product, but only not when the SoftERP system is integrated at the enterprise, which allows automating the majority of business processes, including the determination of margins, taking into account different situations.
